Jobs secure in Hull hotel take-over

A Hullcity centre hotel has been taken over, in a move securing 117 jobs. Focus Hotels Management Ltd has completed the take over of the Quality Hotel in Ferensway.

The hotel's future was in doubt after former owner the Real Hotel Company went into administration. The venue will revert to its old name of the Royal Hotel and is one of 10 hotels previously leased by the Real Hotel Company to be taken over by Focus Hotels across the UK.

Peter Cashman, chief executive of Focus Hotels Management Ltd, said: "We are delighted to have agreed a deal to operate these hotels, we believe that there is a strong opening in the current market for quality mid-market hotels offering value and excellent service"
